Arrived there with the bus but it was already late...so we went back and forth from the Ikea exit . Better to talk to people at the gas station what we did and then a guy brought us a little further to another gas station like 20 mins down the road or so―Jonei23

A lot of cars leaving the Zagreb. No shade, so direct sun. A local guy took us to another gas station before Kutina.―jchymski

A lot of traffic of locals. We were trying with the sign on the main road. After 30 minutes we stopped a guy going to IKEA and he took us to the toll gate.―jchymski

Great stop to hitchhike. There is a toll gate and gas station. Not much traffic. Fontunately, the second car stopped and we went directly to Zagreb.―jchymski

got lucky with a truck ride straight to budapest, but not sure how great this spot is otherwise. mostly local cars refuelling here but there are many hungarian and slovenian truckers here.―Leslie

Until the road becomes a highway a 1km further all spots of the avenue are even, just take the one you feel comfortable with.I chose this one because traffic is a bit spreaded and cars aren't going too fast thanks to the gas station begind. Two lanes and enough space for a car/small truck to pull over on the on ramp.

this place is usually good if you'tre going to Budapest(varaždin), not really good if you want to go to Belgrade―Anonymous

Changed cars here to get to the center of Zagreb. There was a police-patrol that picked-out cars. I just asked the first driver who got controlled by the police and he took me to the city. The police didn't hassle me.―Joschobart

We (two hich-hikers from LV) got there by train. train to Sesvetka (~4 stops from center no need tp buy ticket) and then bus to Novi jelovec witch was almost next to train stop, and little walk and you are there. Nice spot. We got a direct (!) car late int he evening to Banja luka.―Anonymous

In direction Slovenia this one sucked... We stood with a sign SLO and waited 3 hours. Still the only good option if you want to get around Zagreb I guess.―Koendev

As all other comm. I was waiting for less then 10 min, but make a bigger sigh, cause most of the cars go on left side so there is a chance that no one will the sigh.―Aleksnadar8817

Trying to go to the bosnian border, we waited for 2h with a sign "Gradiška/ BiH". Than we changed the sign into "Ivanja Reka" and got a ride to the next gas station.―Anonymous
